HELLO EVERYONE
SOME OF YOU ALREADY KNOW ME AND KNOW THAT I NEEDED TO CREATE A FORUM ALLOWING PEOPLE TO EXPRESS THEMSELF ON THE SUBJECT OF THE KNIVES AND THE GUILD "GCAQ".
IT IS MAINLY AND SIMPLY AN ADDITIONAL TOOL OF COMMUNICATION FOR PEOPLE WHO LIKE THE KNIVES WORLD AND TO EXCHANGE WITH THOSE WHO MAKING THEM.
IT IS A PLACE WHICH I WANT TO ALLOW A LARGE PUBLIC TO COME CLOSER AND WHAT THEY LIKE THE MOST.
IT IS A PLACE WHERE KNIFEMAKER CAN EXCHANGE

Back from Toronto, tired but happy. Good sales, but more important a wonderful occasion to exchange and share with fellows as crazy and passionnate as me. The work of a knifemaker is quite solitary, dusty and noisy, so events like this one are invaluable. I passed my voting member exam! I’m relieved that my work was good enough. Being in front of craftmen like Wolfgang Loerchner and Brian Lyttle when one is not quite awake on a saturday morning is a bit stressful!! I could not take lots of pictures, the show being quite busy, but here’s some. Good .. laisse moi faire un essai de copier le lien des photos a la suite ici. Samedi matin, vue de ma table :: Saturday morning, a view from my table… Paul-Aimé Fortier, sa femme et son frère. Coutelier de grand talent, ses pliants sont fabuleux. Paul-Aimé Fortier, his wife and his brother; a great knife maker, his folders are fabulous… Une partie de la “French Connection” avec au fond, Sylvain Dion, Patrick Beaudry et Dave Fortin montrant le sérieux et le professionnalisme des couteliers québecois. Part of the French Connection with, from the back, Sylvain Dion, Patrick Beaudry and Dave Fortin showing the serious and professionnalisim of Québec makers… Mr. Brian Lyttle, un coutelier immensément talentueux, généreux et surtout, un vrai gentleman. Au fond, on apperçoit Christophe Deringer, dont les talents de forge sont parmis les plus grands au monde, vraiment… Mr. Brian Lyttle, a knifemaker of immense talent and generousity but first and foremost a real gentleman. In the back, Christophe Deringer whose bladesmithing skills are I think some of the greatest on earth, really…
